FRIENDS AND ENEMIES OF MODERN MUSIC =========================================== | lineage: Seed(CDR) > cdr2 > EAC > SHN | | cd running time(s): 69:49 | | overall quality: 10/10 | =========================================== tracklist: 01. Glass' Theme 02. Disco King (early The Everlasting Gaze) 03. Dross 04. Blue Skies Bring Tears (Arising lyrics) 05. If There is a God 06. Le Deux Machina (Mike Garson piano improv) 07. Heavy Metal Machine (version I) 08. Here's to the Atom Bomb (cut) 09. Real Love 10. Money [That's What I Want] (10/31/98 Dodger Stadium, L.A. CA sbd) 11. X.Y.U. (10/31/98 Dodger Stadium, L.A. CA sbd) 12. Once Upon a Time (demo) 13. Crestfallen (demo) 14. unknown (cut) *15. Firewall NOTES: originally from a 60min cassette given out by Billy Corgan himself for fan distribution. Billy messed up thinking the tape was longer than 60 minutes, and as a result, Here's to the Atom Bomb and the unknown instrumental are cut (BILLY IZ BAD TRADER). Tracks 1-9 are Machina studio outtakes, while tracks 12-13 are Adore studio outtakes. Real Love is the same version found on the Machina II album. Nothing is known about track 14 other than it's a Siamese Dream-era recording that Billy claims never really had a title (and that it sounds suspiciously like Porcelina). *Secret track for those involved in the Triple Tree offer which is how I got this cd. The song is a version of Black Oblivion, which appears on Tony Iommi's solo album (the song is done with Billy Corgan). This version is different than the one that appears on the album and was labeled as "Firewall Ruff Mix 11/6/98". FLAWS: tracks 8 and 14 are cut. My copy was recorded track at once rather than disc at once. :( Doesn't really affect the flow of music or anything, however. There's some noticeable static in Money, which to my understanding, exists in all copies.
